Content Specialist - Columbus, Ohio - entry level

The Wasserstrom Company is the leading Food Service Distributor in the nation. Established in 1902, we are a family- owned company with our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. We have an immediate opening in our eCommerce Department for the position of Content Specialist.

The Content Specialist will work with the Content Team to create and maintain web-ready content. The content will be keyed from documents such as Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat (PDF) into the Company database platform. The ideal candidate must be capable of entering technical data and product information accurately with a strong background in a windows-based environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Create and maintain online catalogs via manual entry and spreadsheet uploads.

Create and maintain item descriptions and category content, documents/data

Creates product information in documents such as Excel, Word and PDFs to be uploaded into the catalog system.

Must be able to communicate effectively with sales and vendor reps to receive correct catalog and product information.

Verifies information is accurate and uploaded in a timely manner

Keeps record of work completed

All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Education

Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word and Windows

Basic understanding of HTML.

Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.

The ability to multitask.

One year of experience in a Data Entry role.

High school diploma or G.E.D is required.
