AutoCAD Drafter 2 – Entry Level

Location: Oxnard, CA

Pay Range: $24–$28 per hour

A custom door and window manufacturer in Ventura County is seeking an entry-level AutoCAD

Drafter 2 to support the design and drafting of custom products. The ideal candidate will create

professional technical drawings for both clients and internal manufacturing teams. This is a

great opportunity for someone looking to grow their drafting skills in a fast-paced, high production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Create and revise drawings using AutoCAD throughout all project phases

• Work closely with project coordinators and the design team to develop accurate plans

• Prepare submittal packages, including product information, detail drawings, and

elevations

• Maintain and organize CAD drawing files and libraries for active projects

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Proficient in AutoCAD (version 2018 or later)

• Experience in architectural and/or mechanical drafting

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings

• Strong collaboration skills with both design and manufacturing teams

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, etc.)

• Solid understanding of basic math, algebra, and geometry

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not required

• Experience with doors and windows is a plus

Education & Experience:

• 2+ years of experience using AutoCAD

• 2+ years of experience in the construction industry

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
