The Web Content Architect and Designer will be a core member of the SiloSmashers project team supporting the client and working collaboratively with client website managers, technical teams and business owners as needed.
The candidate will be available Monday through Friday, is anticipated to work on-site at the client's location and although not anticipated, may support occasional events held during non-standard business hours, in the evening or on weekends.
Responsibilities: The candidate will provide website management services for the client supporting the look, layout, and features of the client maintained websites; there are three such websites currently.
Tasks that will be managed and performed by the candidate will include, but not be limited to the following: Plan website content based on technical, aesthetic and functional criteria provided by the program office Support programs through the development of web content and propose new industry practices which may improve web content or accessibility Facilitate the creation, management and delivery of information (content and documents), through websites, portals, extranets or intranets Provide subject matter expertise and support for the development, coordination and management of websites and digital communication tools Provide web content management, including updating and managing websites, to ensure consistency and a professional look, and graphics Maintain records of web content changes and a list of areas for enhancements Assist the client in promotion of brand consistency on websites Interview thought leaders and business owners of the client organization regarding potential content and design support for multiple websites to be created and developed Qualifications: A minimum of five to seven years of website architecture and design experience is required.
Experience working with a federal client is preferred Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Web Architecture and/or Design or a related field is required.
Master's Degree preferred Experience interviewing stakeholders, including technical staff and management for collection of requirements to create content, format and design of currently maintained websites is required Team player easily able to integrate into established team(s) required Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps A minimum of one year hands on web design experience is highly preferred Technical background for communications with technical SMEs highly preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal skills required Able to meet deadlines and/or shifting priorities due to organizational changes Skilled in delivering content via multiple media channels Design and configuration skills preferred Familiar with cloud technology is preferred Ability to coordinate and facilitate client stakeholder meetings beneficial Familiar with the acquisition/procurement concepts for a federal client would be beneficial The above information is designed to outline the functions and position requirements of this job.
