Entry-Level Specimen Processor - Hiring

Job Description

Currently hiring for multiple long-term openings in a medical laboratory to help process samples and specimens. This is an entry-level role (no degree required) and will primarily focus on processing, scanning, packaging, and performing data entry for various human based specimens/tests.

An ideal candidate will have consistent work experience and at least some experience in a fast paced or medical/healthcare environment. These are all full-time positions plus overtime.

Pay: $18/hour (set starting rate, will be evaluated for raises over time)

Shift: 3rd Shift, 10:30pm - 7am, Monday - Friday (plus rotating Saturdays or Sundays every 2-3 weeks)

All shifts will require some daily OT at the end of their shifts as well (on average most people are working about 9 hours of OT per week right now)

Job Duties

Scan samples into the system and verify labels are accurate.

Perform data entry.

Process and sort samples.

Package specimens up in the laboratory

Insert specimens into appropriate machinery/equipment.

Put caps on specimens after running it through machinery.

Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities.

Provide support to various areas of the laboratory.

Perform sample sorting, racking and retrieving.

Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

Must have work experience, but can be from a variety of industries.

Must have a completed High School Diploma or GED

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $17.25/hr.
