Overview

The Jefferson Hotel, a celebrated luxury property in Richmond, VA, is seeking a professional and service-driven Full-Time Room Service Attendant to join our In-Room Dining team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to guest rooms, as well as serve our traditional afternoon tea service on the mezzanine on Friday’s and Saturday’s. Candidates must exhibit a polished presentation, excellent communication skills, and a sharp eye for detail. This position requires flexibility, with varying shifts between 3:00 PM and 1:00 AM.

Key Requirements

Availability: Must be available to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays. Shift flexibility is required.

Experience: Previous food service or in-room dining experience required; luxury or fine dining background preferred.

Presentation: Must demonstrate a professional and polished appearance at all times.

Communication: Strong verbal communication and guest interaction skills required.

Detail-Oriented: Must maintain high standards of cleanliness, accuracy, and efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities

Deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms promptly and professionally.

Ensure proper setup and presentation of trays, carts, and in-room dining amenities.

Accurately communicate guest orders to the kitchen and confirm special requests.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Room Service area and pantries.

Retrieve trays and carts from guest rooms in a timely manner.

Respond to guest inquiries and requests with courtesy and efficiency.

Handle guest feedback or concerns in a prompt, courteous manner, escalating as needed.

Uphold The Jefferson Hotel’s service standards at all times.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 1 year of experience in food service, preferably in-room dining or hospitality.

Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver trays and carts with food and beverage items.

Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Professional demeanor, reliability, and strong team collaboration are essential.

Full-time
