The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Treasury Operations plays a critical leadership role in leading the financial liquidity of Bath & Body Works. This position coordinates cash flow optimization as well as banking and other treasury service relationships. The AVP must establish effective collaborations with business functions and provide those functions with appropriate treasury operations support. Ability to balance multiple tasks in a dynamic, time-sensitive setting, communicate clearly, show proactive behavior, and collaborate optimally with colleagues. This position reports to the SVP, Treasury and leads a team of four.
Responsibilities
Strategic Treasury Management
Develop and implement treasury strategies aligned with the retail business cycle.
Partner with finance, supply chain, and store operations to forecast and handle cash needs across physical and digital channels.
Partner with the business and tax department in the governance of the company’s foreign holding companies.
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing treasury operations team.
Cash & Liquidity Optimization
Lead daily cash positioning, forecasting, and liquidity planning (short-term investments and borrowings) to ensure sufficient funding for anticipated business needs.
Partner with others in the business to handle working capital through effective oversight of payment terms.
Banking & Financial Services
Maintain relationships with banking partners to ensure efficient services, credit facilities, and fraud prevention tools.
Coordinate implementation, operation and maintenance of treasury management systems and banking platforms.
Support the financial planning & analysis team with calculating monthly interest income.
Risk Management & Compliance
Establish policies and procedures within Corporate Treasury, with appropriate redundancies to ensure resilience and efficiency in normal and stressed environments.
Identify and mitigate financial risks such as foreign exchange and payment fraud.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, FBAR filings, Know Your Customer (KYC), and external audit standards.
Support external debt covenant and payments routing compliance requirements.
Technology & Operational Improvement
Drive automation and efficiency in treasury operations through technology upgrades and process redesign.
Collaborate with IT and finance teams to integrate treasury systems with ERP and POS platforms.
10+ years of dynamic experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, and/or financial management roles.
5+ years of proven ability as a manager in a like or larger sized organization.
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Proven ability to achieve success through influence and cross-functional partnerships.
Deep understanding of retail operations.
Strong adaptability to succeed in a constantly evolving setting.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or Master’s is a plus).
CPA and/or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or equivalent designation is a strong plus.
