Job Description
This position is responsible for the sale of the organization's products in a specified region or major geographical area or to a specific group or retail customers.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct sales management activities for key accounts.
Supervise and direct daily activities of sales rep agencies to ensure sales and customer service goals are met.
Have a thorough understanding of our product categories and how each category is performing at each of the accounts.
Present suggestions to grow our business at each of the accounts based on your knowledge of the industry/category and the account.
Understand and be able to communicate to others what the buyer for each of your accounts needs are, what is he/she judged on, what can we do to help make their job easier.
Develop and nurture relationships with each member of the buying team for each of your accounts
Provide sales forecast and budget numbers.
Develop and implement new sales and marketing strategies to increase business and market share.
Prepare sales presentations that are targeted to each individual account and shows the account a path to growth both in units and dollars
Attend various meetings and events with customers.
Plan, coordinate, and direct activities related to trade shows and other promotional events.
Create and design section layouts (plan-o-grams) for accounts.
Prepare account activity and planning reports for board meetings

Education and Experience:
At least three years of field sales experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Five plus years of National Account Management experience required.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Speaking and listening. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Repetitive computer keyboard use and talking on the phone for extended time periods.
