Overtime is required during the busy season.nMust be willing to working evenings and weekends when needed.nHourly rate is dependent on experience.nHealth benefits and vacation pay offered.nnJob Description:nnA minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a Finish Grader OperatornAble to finish sub-grade stabilize, gravel and other surfaces within sub-centimeter tolerances in preparation for asphaltnAbility to work safely and always stay alert to surroundingsnAble to cut grade against concrete, grade stakes, asphalt, and other jobsite structuresnExperience with other construction equipment considered an assetnAbility to communicate with grade checker and act upon information receivednPerforming routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipmentnAssist foremen of any issues or repairs required on assigned equipmentnAssist crew with all other site activities as requirednPhysical strength, stamina and coordination to complete assigned dutiesnAbility to withstand working outside on uneven ground for long periods of time and in varying weather conditionsnMust ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with, the principles of the company's Code of Ethics.nUse of personal protection equipment is required.nUse of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear required when working outdoors.nMust comply with the company's drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements.nMaintain positive company image.nOther duties as required.nnExperience and Certification Requirements:nnMinimum 3 years' experience in heavy civil earthworks, construction, nProven experience with technical specifications, grade plans and building roads.nExperience working on all types of ground conditions, including soft ground.nAbility to finish or trim would be an assetnA successful pre-access drug and Alcohol test is required nA valid driver's license with an insurable driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.nA CSTS-09(or 2020) or SCOT required.
