A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Correctional Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Somerset, PA. The LPN would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This is a full-time position with 35+ hours per week, with potential for overtime.
Compensation
The pay for this position is $40 per hour.
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees after 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
The required availability for this position is both day and night shifts (35 hours/week), with overtime during peak periods.
Responsibilities
Provide general nursing care and clinical duties as authorized by licensing and training.
Administer medications, perform health assessments, and ensure patient care needs are met.
Enter health data into the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Lift, reposition, and assist with the mobility of inmates.
Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and data privacy laws.
Report inmate health conditions and assist in managing medical incidents.
Sterilize medical supplies and administer treatments (including first aid and CPR).
Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and Physicians to implement care plans.
Maintain a safe and professional environment at all times.
Requirements
Current Pennsylvania LPN license or eligibility to sit for the Practical Nurse Licensure Examination.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and repositioning patients.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a correctional setting, handling potentially difficult situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a correctional or clinical setting is a plus.
Knowledge of health and welfare and/or pension plan benefits is a plus.
