Reports to Revenue Cycle Manager
Summary/Objective
Specialist will work strictly with Midatlantic Endoscopy in pre- collecting for diagnostic procedures in addition to post collecting for Midatlantic Endoscopy service area for balances that are pt. responsibility. Specialist will also verify eligibility as well as calling the pt. for payment and or Updated insurance information.
Specialist will report all issues to Revenue Cycle Manager as needed.

Post Midatlantic pre-payments/post- payments, verifying insurance eligibility and pt. responsibility, but not limited to:
Organizational, written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of tracking and use of Epic resources for identifying and resolving discrepancies, in a timely manner
Able to focus and pay close attention to detail
Able to work independently or as part of the team
Good mathematical skills
Good time management skills to meet deadlines for end of month
An understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
Answer any general questions asked by staff and or patients
Update Epic accounts with accurate information
Turn payment batches in daily to Cash recon specialist for balancing.
Use of Epay CC online payment Center

Requires well developed organizational skills and basic office operations to assure appropriate documentation and follow-through to meet the department needs.

Ability to evaluate a variety of situations and make timely decisions – made independently or with appropriate assistance. This includes analyzing data to best determine the appropriate assistance needed, i.e., resolving discrepancies.
Must demonstrate ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment where the ability to meet deadlines is a must with constant communication required.
Demonstrates proficient computer skills including accurate data entry into Microsoft Excel, as well as documentation and communication through Microsoft Outlook.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Epic batch payment posting and EPIC Registration updates, preferred but not required.
