Conduct oral examinations and assessments to identify dental hygiene issues.
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, and topical fluoride applications.
Apply sealants and administer local anesthetics as required.
Develop and implement individualized dental care plans for patients.
Record and maintain accurate patient dental histories and documentation.
Guide patients on proper teeth care and propose preventive dental practices.
Educate patients on improving and maintaining good oral health.
Ensure the sterilization of dental instruments and the operatory before each use.
Collaborate closely with dentists and other team members to provide top-notch dental care.
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in dental hygiene and patient care.
Attend team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and contribute to team development.
Manage dental emergencies effectively as they arise.Requirements
Active South Carolina Dental Hygiene License.
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist.
Exceptional patient care skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor.
Strong multitasking ability along with keen attention to detail.
A commitment to a team-oriented approach and a willingness to assist in various tasks.
Ability to manage time efficiently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
CPR certification preferred.
Understanding of HIPAA and adherence to all health and safety regulations.
