Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Web Developer to join our team. To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed; meet the education and work experience required; and must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Other duties, in addition to the below, may be assigned as necessary to meet business needs.
Responsibilities:
Ability to understand complex systems and how to troubleshoot and make them highly available
Maintain a collaborative spirit and work with a team to build products in an Agile fashion
Demonstrate a work ethic that focuses on continuous improvement where you are giving and receiving constant constructive feedback
Design, develop, test, and integrate custom web applications and solutions interfacing with restful services
Develop an AWS cloud-based web application
Interface with customer management and SMEs
Develop scalable and secure cross-platform web applications
Resolve complex design, implementation, and/or performance issues
Optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability with a focus on the user experience
Develop front end applications using HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and other front end development frameworks such as Angular and React
Work as part of a development team for the development of both front-end web application and back-end microservices
Support all development and delivery activities, from requirements definition and specification to deployment and delivery to production
Consult with project teams and end users to identify new requirements and areas for improvement
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or substitute eight years of equivalent work experience.
At least seven (7) years of recent hands-on front-end and back-end development experience
Two (2) years of experience using Angular or React framework
Four (4) years of experience using an advanced programming language (ie: Java, Python, Node.js)
Four (4) years of Web application, SOA, web service (SOAP or RESTful) development and deployment
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CloudFormation.
Hands-on experience with coding and application deployment to Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud ecosystem (ie: AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, WAF)
Must be proficient in mock unit and integration testing
Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban)
Experience in developing innovative, scalable, secure, cross-platform enterprise applications
Experience in Cloud application development, preferred AWS
Strong interpersonal communication skills to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with development teams and customers
Solid relational database experience with SQL programming. Preferred - PostgreSQL
Active Clearance: Public Trust, Secret, Top-Secret or any other type of government clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CI/CD products is a plus - AWS Fargate
Strong interpersonal communication skills to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with development teams and customers

In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to pass a US Public Trust background investigation for access to the client site and computing systems.

Local to the Washington, DC (DMV) area, this role is a hybrid position.
