The ideal candidate for the Production Supervisor role is an organized, self-starter with a proactive leadership approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This individual must have prior experience supervising or leading teams within a production or manufacturing setting, particularly in a woodshop or assembly environment. They should be able to effectively manage multiple priorities, ensure high-quality standards, and drive efficiency in production while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

SUMMARY: The Production Supervisor is a lead position, responsible for managing the daily tasks of the woodshop and Final Assembly floor. The Production Supervisor will be expected to provide oversight to both the Finishing Team and the Assembly Team as needed. When overseeing the Finishing Team, the Production Supervisor is responsible for the final stages of assembly, ensuring that all orders meet quality standards and are completed efficiently before shipment. When overseeing the Assembly Team, the Production Supervisor oversees the assembly process to ensure that products are made efficiently, safely and to the required quality standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees gluing, lamination, polishing, dealer bar installation and final assembly departments, with responsibilities extending to various areas on the floor as needed.

Oversees the woodshop assembly department, with responsibilities extending to various areas on the floor as needed.

Supervises employees in their respective teams to ensure they complete their daily tasks on schedule and in a safe, efficient manner.

Leads and trains staff as needed, enduring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Reviews all production paperwork and ensure a clear understanding of each order's details, including laminate and solid surface color, before assembly or finishing work begins.

Will accompany employees to gather their daily materials per their task sheet.

Ensures that all components and finishes are completed correctly, according to the production paperwork.

Completes a prototype of each order prior to building an entire order; only proceeding with the full order once prototype(s) are approved.

Ensures that all components are assembled correctly, according to the production paperwork. This will involve inspecting work, troubleshooting issues, and resolving defects.

Provides motivation, support, and guidance to all employees.

Communicates effectively with other Supervisors and Production Managers regarding any issues with orders, regardless of their extent.

Provides the Senior Production Manager(s) and Scheduling Manager with a daily status report on current jobs before the daily production meeting.

Collaborates with CAD department on builds to ensure accuracy before the prototype gets cut on the CNC.

Organizes the final assembly area by subproduct.

Ensures all items are given to Finishing Department in a timely and efficient manner.

Ensures the safe use of equipment.

Maintains a clean and organized workplace, ensuring that all employees clean their work areas and return unused parts to the CNC area.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises employees on the floor in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and at least 3 years of production specific experience working in a Woodshop, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, is a plus
