JOB TITLE: Lead Full Stack Developer

LOCATION: Hawthorne, NY (on-site)

TYPE: Full time, regular

COMPENSATION: $160,000 - $180,000/yr

SectionStar™ by Clarapath is a ground-breaking electro-mechanical system designed to elevate and automate the workflow in histology laboratories and provide pathologists with the tissue samples they need to make the most accurate diagnoses. Role Summary:

The Lead Full Stack Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for SectionStar, a mechatronic device. This role is multi-disciplinary with responsibility for ensuring all front-end and back-end components of our applications are scalable, robust, and user-friendly. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience optimizing web development frameworks, databases and cloud services. We are looking for a team player who views medical device development as a competitive advantage.

Responsibilities:

Architect and build the user interface to the device

Implement modern web UI using latest technology and best practices

Create formal documentation for a FDA process

Develop and execute unit and system tests of prototype designs

Mentor junior developers, provide guidance, and help resolve technical challenges

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality results

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree a plus

6+ years of professional experience in full stack development

Proficient in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)

Strong back-end development skills with experience in Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, or similar languages

Experience with databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar

Familiarity with Graph QL and RESTful API design and implementation

Knowledge of version control systems (ex: Git)

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Experience with microservices architecture, a plus

Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools (JIRA, Trello), a plus

Contributions to open-source projects or a portfolio of personal projects, a plus

Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks, a plus

Prior experience integrating and interfacing with Clinical Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) or similar healthcare information systems, a plus

Prior experience developing vision systems for process and quality control applications, a plus

Prior experience working on data security and ensuring compliance with HIPAA requirements, a plus
