Venesco, LLC., is seeking a Curriculum Developer to assist on a contract with a federal government client in Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH (On-site with potential for temporary alternate work locations).

Clearance Requirement:

Tier 1 Background Check (T1)/SF85; U.S. Citizenship required

The successful candidate will work directly with the Client and support team members to:

Assist with activities of Public Health Education Division creation of curriculum. Serves as a subject matter expert for the creation of Public Health Education training.

Creates Comprehensive Medical Readiness Program (CMRP) training, documents, and references. Develops and updates initial and advanced course curriculum as the needs of the Public Health career field dictate (includes but not limited to IDMT training curriculum, Career Development Courses, In-service training, Student Study and Field Guides, etc.). Designs Public Health lesson plans using Instructional System Development methodology. Contractor shall have no more than two minor formatting errors and two minor text errors found in any course documentation.

Act as a conduit for base level technicians to provide feedback for the development and innovation of course material. Develops curricula for all scheduled/assigned lessons in Public Health Apprentice, Contingency Preventive Medicine, Operational Entomology, Hearing Conservation Certification, Hearing Conservation Re-certification, workshops (Community Health, Force Health Management, Public Health Management, Military Audiology), Public Health Mid-level manager, and Public Health Officer Courses.

Analyze emerging operations and research new training principles for the garrison and deployed Public Health mission. Liaise with base level technicians within CONUS and OCONUS areas of responsibility to determine training deficiencies and best practices to modernize enlisted and officer training.

Requirements:

Position Summary:

The Curriculum Developer will provide expert instructional design and curriculum development support to the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM), Occupational and Environmental Health, Force Development Division (OED). This role focuses on the creation, revision, and validation of Career Development Courses (CDCs) and Qualification Training Packages (QTPs) using formal Instructional Systems Development (ISD) methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and revise CDCs and QTPs using ISD models such as ADDIE.

Analyze and validate course content and recommend effective training strategies.

Develop test items and ensure alignment with instructional objectives.

Ensure training materials meet USAF instructional standards and strategic goals.

Collaborate with SMEs, instructional system specialists, and leadership to align curriculum with USAF requirements.

Maintain and update electronic files and records.

Support Utilization and Training Workshops and assist in the development of Career

Field Education and Training Plans (CFETPs).

Analyze student feedback and provide recommendations for courseware improvement.

Prepare and submit monthly progress and technical reports.

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health, Preventive Medicine, or related field.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in Bioenvironmental Engineering or related federal public health fields.

Demonstrated experience with ISD models and curriculum development.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience interfacing with senior DoD personnel.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) required prior to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field.

Experience developing CDCs, QTPs, or On-the-Job Training (OJT) materials.

Familiarity with online training tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python.

At least 4 years of experience conducting Health Risk Assessments and managing OEH programs within the DoD.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 0730–1630 (flexibility required for occasional after-hours tasks)

Deliverables:

Monthly Progress, Status, and Management Reports

Technical Reports upon task completion

Updated and validated CDC and QTP materials
