ADA Program Manager Position Overview

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking an ADA Program Manager, to support our Opportunity & Accessibility (O&A) unit in ensuring that our organization's programs and services are accessible to all.

This position oversees the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Reasonable Accommodation (RA) programs, serving as the Accessibility Services Manager. You will be responsible for interpreting state and federal laws, regulations, and policies to advise our managers, staff, and service providers on ADA compliance. This includes formulating and implementing ADA policies and agreements, as well as managing complex accommodation requests in a timely and comprehensive manner.

In this position, you will use your expertise in accessibility to provide specialized consultation and subject matter expertise to evaluate accommodation requests. You will work closely with individuals requesting services to determine the most appropriate job modifications and accommodations. You will be responsible for educating our managers and staff on accessibility processes, promoting greater understanding and respect within OOD and among our customers. You will also manage the RA budget, ensuring the appropriateness of expenditures and compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Pay Information

Starting salary will be step 1, subject to law or union contract requirements. New hires advance to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. There are cost of living increases to these rates each year and additional longevity supplements begin after 5 years. The current wage progression for this position is in the table below.

Location Requirements

We are currently in the process of increasing our in-office presence to 5 days per week across all OOD locations. Employees must reside at a location that allows for reasonable response time to workplace reporting requirements.

Background Check

The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position. 5 years' training or 5 years' experience in business administration, management or public administration.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management or public administration AND 36 months' training or 36 months' experience in supervisory, administrative and/or managerial position.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program for academic field of study commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on File AND 36 months' training or 36 months' experience in supervisory, administrative, managerial and/or staff position involving planning, research and/or policy/procedure development.

-Or 1 year experience as Program Administrator 2, 63123.

-Or equivalent of education and/or experience per Minimum Class Qualifications noted above.
