Job Title: Staff Accountant

SUMMARY: Oversee accounting and finance administrative tasks and vendor files. Support Team in financial reporting, Reconciliations and Payroll.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage AP/Accounting mailbox, enter and submit invoices for review
Manage cash disbursement, AP payment run
Amex Credit Card reconciliation and entries
Manage vendor files in Unanet
Payroll preparation
Balance sheet Reconciliations and other Analytics
Unanet support (timesheets, expense reports)
Mail Collection and distribution from HQ.
1099 prep at the end of the year
Journal entries.
Other duties as assigned
Success Factors
Data entry and accuracy expertise
At least 2 years of experience in a GAAP accounting environment
Government Accounting experience a plus
Expertise in using Microsoft Excel and Unanet or Cost point
Organization skills and awareness of all aspects of financial reporting

Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Being proactive in taking on tasks and accepting accountability for their delivery.

Working Conditions
This is a hybrid position where the employee will work from their home office most of the time but will be required to commute to the HQ in Arlington once a week to collect and distribute mail received. The working conditions include consistent internet connectivity and a dedicated workspace. The role may require occasional travel for team meetings and training sessions.

This role requires you to live within the United States.
