Summary:The Project Manager is responsible to deliver on all project management activities for a complex project or program from initiation through closure. This position drives all activities to maintain timelines while demonstrating leadership skills by collaborating with cross-functional internal and external partners to meet customers' expectations. The successful candidate will demonstrate natural leadership, change management skills, strategic planning skills, and an expert in influencing and communicating across all levels of stakeholders. The Project Manager role is key to delivering on the entire portfolio of the business with proactive issue/resolution skills in a dynamic ever-changing environment.
Essential Functions:
Drives senior level projects that are new capabilities for the company including co-packers, laydown projects, and other projects where there is no currently established process to follow. This role is responsible for developing the process to be followed related to these highly complex projects.
Explores, investigates, and validates innovation opportunities by using internal and external resources to build a business case to achieve the strategic innovation direction for the company.
Creates processes and methodologies to drive an innovation culture and ensure progress is made against the company's most important initiatives.
Facilitates innovation workshops or problem-solving workshops by using methodologies like Design Thinking, Lean Start-up, or Agile Innovation.
Drives proactive lessons learned upon major project completion and ensures continuous improvement principles are set in place to streamline process workflows and improves ways of working across the company. Partners with senior level leaders to identify new capabilities needed to meet the company's growing business while bringing operational efficiencies to the team.
Sets up, maintains and coordinates Stage Gate project files upon conception. Gathers and develops all information required to fully develop and initiate each project including approved art files for all components; clearly identifies all project needs, materials, and anticipated issues. Coordinates and maintains open communication between all stakeholders including presentation of final design for stakeholder approval.
Initiates, develops and maintains proactive communication to an accurate timeline for each project. Coordinates and communicates changes to existing projects as they occur to all relevant and impacted parties.
Manages the accurate and timely set up and updating of new material and finished goods control numbers and Bill of Materials (BOM). Communicates changes to internal stakeholders.
Routinely reviews material inventories and raw materials analysis, ensuring material availability or shortages related to projects are appropriately communicated, validating confirmed project due dates remain on target.
Builds strong working relationships with internal technical resources; seeks to understand processes and terminology both formal and informal and apply root cause analysis and a problem-solving approach to product development.
Facilitates cross-functional team project status meetings. Acts as a liaison between all departments in relation to projects. Clearly and accurately communicates status updates to Project Management leadership and team.
Tracks project billings, updates project log; removes and enters completion of all finished goods as directed.

Must be well versed with industry trends and customer insights to meet the needs of a growing business. Required Education & Experience:
Must have the ability to maintain current knowledge, skills and/or certifications relevant to assigned job responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree.
5+ years of progressive project management experience.
Equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Preferred Education & Experience:
Professional Project Management Certifications (e.g., PMP, CPPM).
Prior working experience with ERP systems and Project Management software.
Basic understanding of finished goods operations or CPG knowledge is preferred.
New business strategy and business case development experience preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities:None
Work Location & Travel Required:The Project Manager works a hybrid work schedule, reporting to the Princeton, MN location. Minimal travel required (<5%).
Work Environment & Physical Demands:Work is performed primarily in an office setting (home office or company site). This position requires the ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time, including the dexterity to frequently type on a keyboard.

Starting Pay Range:78,000 - 93,000 Annually
Where a candidate falls within the pay range will vary based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, education, skills and experience.
