Position Overview:Reporting directly to the Service Supervisor, this position is responsible for leading the service and repair of a wide range of Caterpillar equipment in the shop and field as well as providing leadership and instruction to others in their service and repair of a Caterpillar equipment. This position is based at Albian, working a 14x14 continuous shift rotation.
Job Description:
Basic Functions:
Provide technical expertise on the shop floor and field operations
Perform regular mechanical duties assigned by Supervisor
Maintain job status sheet and update the planner on job progress
Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed
Schedule and delegate duties
Distribute work orders
Provide leadership with reference to on-site safety requirements
Qualifications:
Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
Completion, or in the process of completing Finning S-level courses
High level of technical experience, dedication to safety, and the willingness and ability to instruct others
Team player with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Previous CAT general line experience and computer proficiency would be considered assets
Note:
This position will work a 14x14, continuous shift rotation, based at the Albian, D01 facility.
A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement
