Job Description

Performs activities associated with fabrication, production & distribution of highway signs.

Produces sign blanks from aluminum or salvaged material and utilizes computer systems.

Performs reclamation activities, reflective sheeting application, assembly & fabrication of all extruded signs.

Conducts silk screen activities, layout activities & silk screen fabrication.

Reads blueprints and sorts, stacks, loads & unloads materials.

Lifts & transports sign blanks & other materials and packs & distributes signs.

Stores completed signs & materials in accordance with departmental standards.

Operates forklift & equipment utilized in sign production process (e.g., shear machines, punch press).

Utilizes safety equipment in accordance with established safety practices.

Maintains quality control in all processes and inventory control of materials used in production.

Maintains shop area (e.g., sweeps & cleans). Critical Information

Two positions available: one could be long term, the other until around October/November.

Submissions must include: Resume, Cover Letter, RTR Certifications (if applicable).

Formal education in arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, ruler reading & percentages.

3 months training or 3 months experience in sheet metal work & operation of related equipment.

3 months training or 3 months experience in industrial safety practices.

OR, 3 months training or 3 months experience in sign production & industrial safety practices. Benefits:
