As Lead Infrastructure Engineer, you will report to STS (Shared Technologies Services) Architecture and Operations Team within the Avio Aero CTO Organization.

We are looking for a technically skilled and hands-on professional to lead and evolve our core IT infrastructure. Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Ensure day-to-day reliability, scalability, and security of the on-premise IT infrastructure

Design, implement, and maintain core systems including virtualization platforms, storage, and backups

Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide high-level support across systems and teams

Lead by example in a hands-on role, working closely with infrastructure and support engineers

Contribute to infrastructure strategy, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives

Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and system standards

Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Gradually assume more leadership and project responsibilities based on performance and growth arriving to manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality

Collaborate with other IT functions and business units to align technology with organizational needs

Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess efficiency, productivity and quality

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable insights to the Architecture team and Product Owners

Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards

Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks

Qualifications/Requirements

Degree in computer science or other STEM field or equivalent documented working experience of hands-on in IT infrastructure roles (e.g. system administrator, server/storage/infrastructure engineer)

Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server environments

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs)

Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V) and enterprise storage systems (e.g. SAN/NAS)

Familiarity with monitoring and automation tools (e.g. Zabbix, Nagios, Ansible, Puppet)

Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good interpersonal and collaboration skills

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Fluent in English and Italian (spoken and written)

Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
