We are seeking an experienced State Management Analytics Manager who is excited to use their skills and talents to profitably grow our personal lines book in our largest state.
The State Management Analytics Manager will have the opportunity to research and identify improvement areas, craft and present recommendations to senior leadership, and work with cross-functional partners to execute on those approved initiatives. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to MAPFRE's success while expanding your insurance expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Leverage competitive intelligence along with your technical skills and business acumen to identify opportunity areas for MAPFRE's largest state
Analyze and monitor insurance product performance to make data-based decisions regarding underwriting, coverage, and/or pricing to drive continuous improvement
Create and present recommendations to various key stakeholders including senior leadership
Collaborate with various internal teams, including Product, Engineering, Business Development, and Claims to gain alignment and support for various initiatives and act as a subject matter expert
Spearhead high-impact projects that drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience
Mentor, formally, and informally, by becoming a subject matter expert for analysts across product management and provide basic analytical coaching to less experienced analysts
Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting, as needed Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education: Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience.
Experience: 7 - 9 years or Associate's degree equivalent plus 9 - 11 years.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience using SQL, Python or other programing language required
Solid understanding of insurance concepts and financial metrics
Strong data analysis skills in an insurance setting
Expertise in personal lines preferred but not required
Experience developing and implementing products, underwriting and coverage programs preferred.
Must have solid planning, organization, analytical, decision-making, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently but also thrive in a team environment
Experience building dashboards using Power BI preferred but not required
CPCU or equivalent insurance designation preferred but not required
One or more years of supervisory/managerial experience preferred
