Relieving superior of routine administrative duties, making recommendations regarding program activities, researching and analyzing materials, information, and programs, providing technical information and advice to administrators to aid in decision making, assisting in developing new procedures related to established program policy, serving as liaison between administrator and subordinates, transmitting decisions and directives, and representing administrator at meetings and conferences.

Managing business functions of administrator's office; preparing and monitoring budgets; preparing payroll; processing bills for payment; purchasing supplies and equipment; keeping fiscal and personnel records; interviewing prospective employees.

Performing public relations duties; researching and responding to inquiries and complaints; furnishing information and explaining programs to public; working on special assignments and projects as directed; preparing reports, publications, memos, and presentations for dissemination outside work unit.
