ROLE #1 - PROJECT MANAGER / BUSINESS ANALYST (PM/BA)
The PM/BA will oversee and manage IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with NYCDOE goals. This role involves both
project management and business analysis responsibilities.
Key duties include:
• Project Management: Lead and manage complex IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to contract requirements,
and achievement of project goals.
• Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with clients, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to define project scope,
objectives, and deliverables. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify, document, escalate, and address risks and issues via DIIT’s approved processes and
systems.
• Documentation & Reporting: Draft, develop, and document project process flows, communication strategies, and status
updates. Archive all relevant documentation and manage supporting documents for audit-related activities.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with schools, Borough Technology Directors, Service Desk, DeviceHub, DAAP, and various
technical teams to seek and provide resolutions to stakeholders.
• Data Analysis: Work with relevant partners to help with data analysis and report analysis as required.
• Invoice Fulfillment: Review, manage, QA, and prepare supporting documents for invoice fulfillment for senior leadership
signoffs and approvals for payment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience:
o 6+ years of Project Management and Business Analysis experience.
o 5+ years of experience in customer service and client-facing roles.
o 6+ years of experience documenting project deliverables.
• Skills:
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Excel, Project).
o Strong communication skills.
o Detail-oriented with a focus on process and quality.
