We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to be responsible for extracting accurate quantities from approved shop drawings for construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and experience working with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
Key Responsibilities :
Review and analyze shop drawings, specifications, and BOQs for quantity take-offs.
Extract accurate material quantities for civil, architectural, structural works.
Coordinate with design, engineering, and BIM teams to ensure alignment of drawings with project scope.
Prepare interim payment applications, variations, and cost estimates based on extracted quantities.
Identify discrepancies between shop drawings and IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings and report them.
Assist in preparing tender documents and cost comparisons.
Maintain organized records of measurements, drawings, and revisions for audit and claims support.
Support site and procurement teams with updated quantity data and material requirements.
Key Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity take-off from shop drawings (Gulf experience preferred).
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and measurement tools (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Revit, etc.).
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and technical drawings.
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good communication and reporting skills.
