Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Read and interpret technical data packages and requirements, translating them into manufacturing or assembly process requirements.
Assist in the planning, design, and launch of manufacturing processes.
Apply lean principles to an existing product design and manufacturing processes by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
Recommend capital equipment to achieve manufacturing goals based on product specification.
Develop both technical and financial business cases for the down-selection of competing manufacturing and assembly processes.
Maintain a direct interface with customers to ensure project success.
Work cooperatively within an integrated team to deliver exceptional results.
Support strategy development of IT Infrastructure, Equipment PLC to Mfg. System, and other related PLC strategies for a Manufacturing System
Familiar with ERP/MRP/MES Manufacturing Protocols
Knowledge of and experience with Real Time Process Controls
Cell Controllers
Materials Management
Quality Systems
Process Data Collection
Process Monitoring/Reporting
Maintenance Management
Experience developing a Shop Floor Data Collection & Traceability strategy Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of process, industrial, or manufacturing engineering experience required, preferably in the automotive industry.
Possess strong knowledge of product development in manufacturing, production process, and equipment or machinery.
Experience in robotics, high speed automation, tooling, molding, and fixtures is preferred.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.
Local and overnight travel to company or customer facilities is required.
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder and have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. Key Competencies:
