3rd Year Electrical Apprentice

Location: Bridgewater and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Pay: $31.00–$38.15/hour (based on hours completed) + additional premiums

Type: Full-time

MGR Workforce is hiring 3rd Year Electrical Apprentices for full-time outdoor construction projects in Bridgewater and Dartmouth. You'll work alongside experienced Red Seal Electricians on active job sites while continuing to build your skills and hours in a safety-first environment.

Compensation Package:

Hourly wage: $31.00–$38.15, based on apprenticeship progress (number of hours completed)

6% vacation pay

2% holiday pay

$3.97/hour in benefits

Hourly pension contribution based on hours completed

What You'll Be Doing:

Assist with installing and maintaining outdoor electrical systems (e.g., site power, lighting)

Pull wire and cable through conduits, position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, and fuse enclosures, install single and multi-wire cables above and underground, install data cabling, and install and maintain fiber optic and signaling systems

Read and follow blueprints and wiring diagrams

Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Maintain clean, safe workspaces and follow job site protocols

Support journeypersons and communicate with supervisors

What You Need:

Registered as a 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice in Nova Scotia

2–3 years of electrical work experience

Comfortable with outdoor construction work and physical tasks (lift up to 50 lbs)

Your own basic PPE: hard hat, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots, gloves, and safety glasses

Thorough knowledge of the principles of electricity, circuitry, and power distribution systems, and familiarity with the materials and techniques of construction

A strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
