The position
Reporting to the General Manager for Egypt, you will be a member of the Leadership Team and be jointly responsible for the Affiliate’s results. You will be responsible for providing the General Manager support within the financial area and overall business. You will have a dotted reporting line to the Senior Finance & Operations Director of Business Area Africa (BAAF).
You will be responsible for accounting, finance, treasury and tax, ensuring the provision of financial information and necessary support for decision-making. You will initiate and implement policies and processes to enhance the financial performance of the company in accordance with strategic objectives. You will optimize the financial resources of the company to maximize shareholder wealth.
You will also be responsible for the management and oversight of the Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Digital Data & IT functions. You will ensure optimal working of and investments in IT solutions. You will oversee Procurement functions and support sourcing activities in line with the targets of the affiliate.
Qualifications
You hold a university degree in accounting or finance or other relevant area with 10 years of experience in Finance including in leadership position, from a multinational corporation.
You have experience in budget procedures, financial analysis, and knowledge of local tax. A good understanding of legal contracts, compliance matters and ability to understand commercial challenges and insights will be preferred.
We expect our candidates to be able to communicate effectively in English and Arabic (preferred), discuss strategies in a way that impacts key stakeholders and able to build trusted relationships.
You are experienced with managing others, coaching, and giving feedback.

The Egypt affiliate is a part of the Business Area Africa (BAAF), in Region Emerging Markets and has shown exceptional performance year on year. It is a fast growing and dynamic affiliate aiming to cement Novo Nordisk’s position in the Egyptian Diabetes, Obesity & Rare Diseases market.
You will join the Finance and Operations department that is providing multidimensional support in financial insights and Business Analytics for all business units while ensuring finance house is in order to drive excellence across the organization and support the digital transformation agenda.
