The Senior Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for leading the organization’s quality assurance strategy with a focus on automation, ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable, and high-quality products. This role combines strategic oversight with technical expertise, driving innovation and efficiency in quality assurance focusing on automation technologies processes while aligning with organizational goals.

What You Will Do:

Define and execute the quality automation strategy, aligning with the organization’s product and technology roadmap.

Drive the adoption of automation frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate quality practices into the software development lifecycle.

Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in automation, implementing best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Build and lead a high-performing quality automation team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Mentor and develop team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.

Promote cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment between quality assurance, development, and operations teams.

Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of automation frameworks, scripts, and tools.

Ensure comprehensive test coverage by implementing automated testing for functional, performance, security, and regression testing.

Drive the integration of test automation into CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid and reliable deployments.

Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for quality and automation, reporting progress and challenges to stakeholders.

Establish and enforce standards, processes, and guidelines for quality assurance and automation practices.

Conduct regular reviews and audits of testing processes to identify and address gaps.

Collaborate with product managers, developers, and operations teams to ensure clear understanding of quality requirements and expectations.

Communicate progress, risks, and issues related to quality and automation to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and support.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

Total of 10+ years of overall QA experience

Including 8+ years of experience managing all kinds of testing artifacts (Functional, Automation, API & Mobile)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any relevant field preferred.

JMeter, Java, ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer

Certified Agile Tester (CAT) or similar Agile certifications

DevOps certifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Able to lead a globally distributed team.

Strong background in SDLC and Agile (Scrum) software development methodology.

Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, ADO, Bamboo, Harness etc.).

Hands-on experience with test automation technologies e.g., Cucumber (TDD/BDD), Selenium, Katalon Studio, Test Grid, Test parallelization, POM, TestNG, and Junit etc. along with building automation framework from scratch.

Solid background on repository & version controlling systems e.g., SVN, BitBucket, GitHub etc.

Expertise in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit).

Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Bamboo).

Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in test automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, driving innovation and efficiency.

Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System

Reporting Relationships:

The incumbent reports directly to a manager or Director level. This position may have Individual Contributor direct reports.
