CORPORATE AND FOUNDATION RELATIONS (CFR) works with Georgia State faculty and administrators and with foundations and corporations to foster mutually beneficial collaborations and meaningful partnerships in areas such as philanthropy, sponsored research, student recruitment, technology transfer, and continuing education.
Leadership (10%):
Responsible for instructing, directing, and checking the work of Analyst Programmer Associates/Intermediates as well as making project task assignments under the direction of the Associate VP, Advancement.
Main responsibility is to assume the lead role on Microsoft SQL Server used to prepare and deliver a variety of interactive and printed reports, necessary to support the development of custom reporting.
Application Support (20%):
Responds to customer reports of problems, system performance anomalies, and/or general inquiries. Includes administration, application troubleshooting, and design, programming, and testing.
Business Systems Analysis (30%):
Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding. Includes analysis and documentation of business processes and functional requirements.
Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the business environment.
Translates functional requirements and prepares detailed program specifications from which programs are written.
Application Programming (10%):
Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Project Management (10%)\:
Responsible for project plans, time, cost estimates, design specifications, and/or other documentation associated with projects, tasks, or applications assigned.
May also be responsible for serving in the role of project manager for smaller-sized programming projects in developing a project plan/schedule, coordinating the activities of the project team, and reporting project status to both management and customers.
Communication (10%)\:
Consults and collaborates with personnel in other technical departments to coordinate activities related to projects assigned
Prepares and provides activity and status reports regarding the activities assigned.
Software testing (5%):
Conducting investigations and experiments to verify the quality of software to provide an objective, independent view of the software

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Knowledge of data processing principles, practices, and equipment.
Knowledge of large integrated systems and event-driven programming.
Knowledge of Windows, voice response systems, and programming languages, such as COBOL,
Effective time management, customer service, analytical, and organizational skills.
Effective oral and verbal communication skills with external and internal customers.
Ability to multitask, train staff, and use independent judgment.
