Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose :

This role is not an office based role, you will provide on the ground leadership for the extensive Merchandiser and Coordinator resources within the assigned region.

The role’s primary focus is to drive Everyday Great Execution at Store Level. The Operational Excellence Manager will ensure that the 7P plans agreed with our National Customers are implemented with excellence, and will directly impact Sales growth and our ability to deliver against our goals.

Success will require an individual with strong attention to detail and an ability to influence external stakeholders, including Store Managers and our 3rd Party merchandise agency partners. You should possess a strong understanding of in-store Retail Operations and know what great Retail Execution looks like.

The individual will work closely with the Customer Management teams to ensure our Merchandise Partners are executing in line with our Priorities and Plans. Through training and mentoring you directly advance the capabilities of the team on the ground to improve efficiency, retention and unlock growth.

The role will actively engage with In-Store Management to help resolve issues and find new opportunities. You will use data and digital tools to track compliance to our Retail Standards and provide a direct feedback loop to the customer teams

Responsibilities:

1. Superior Execution across DT Retail Environments

Align with the In-Store Team & Customer Teams the Cycle Priorities each month

Ensure implementation of the Cycle plan by the 3rd Party Merchandiser Team on the ground

Lead and Track the implementation of the plan and compliance to the Retail Standards within the Region through digital/data tools and on the ground assessment and in-store audits

Champion the implementation of Digital tools to enable efficiency and data driven decision making

2. Capability Development

Conduct assessments of the Merchandiser team capabilities and creates a plan to elevate based on needs

Implements Training within the Region to develop our partners with a focus on being ‘Exceptional in the Fundamentals of Execution’

Engage and Collaborate with the Customer team and ISM team to deliver against the capabilities plan

3. Customer Engagement

Directly engages with Store Operations team of our Customers to identify opportunities to improve execution and unlock growth

Partner with the 3rd Party Merchandiser Agency to engage with Stores and resolve significant Execution challenges

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration, Management or related field.

Minimum 5 of relevant experience in Customer Development field sales handling both direct and indirect trade accounts with consistent track record of excellent performance

Experience in online platforms and digital commerce

Preferred Qualifications :

Able to build good relationship w/ Customer Development Team to influence in the planning and implementation of various customer strategies

Good communication skills to provide inputs during commercial meetings

Knowledgeable on omnichannel and phygital

Financial knowledge (P&L) to recommend initiatives that brings financial results and understanding the impact on the business and return on investment
