DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the mining, cement, sugar, and heavy industrial sectors.
• Promote and position company mechanical product lines to meet client needs and industry demands.
• Prepare and present technical proposals and quotations to clients, ensuring alignment with operational requirements.
• Manage and grow key customer accounts with a focus on long-term relationship building and revenue generation.
• Conduct regular client visits to understand site operations, assess opportunities, and provide technical support.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value clients and strategic accounts.
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers, engineers, and procurement teams.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, after-sales support, and customer satisfaction.
• Research and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform business strategy.
• Provide feedback to management on customer needs, product gaps, and market opportunities. Contribute to the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies
• Meet and exceed annual sales targets, revenue goals, and gross profit objectives.
• Monitor customer account performance, including payment collections and credit compliance.
• Maintain accurate sales and client records using internal systems.
• Stay updated on new technologies, product developments, and mechanical engineering innovations relevant to client industries.
• Participate in technical product demonstrations, field tests, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety policies and applicable industry regulations.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related technical discipline).
• 3–5 years’ experience in business development, technical sales, or key account management within mining, heavy industry, or related fields.
• Demonstrated success in selling engineering solutions and managing industrial client relationships.
• Strong understanding of operational requirements in mining, cement, sugar, and related sectors.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Tanzania (up to 50%).
• Proactive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
• Strong technical understanding and the ability to translate client challenges into viable product solutions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
• Exposure to international products, standards, or supplier networks is a plus.
