Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Account Manager to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located in Washington, MI
The JOEM Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing business with Japanese Original Equipment Manufacturers (JOEMs), acting as the primary liaison between the company and customer accounts. This role requires a strong understanding of Japanese business culture, customer expectations, and automotive supply chain dynamics. The individual will ensure customer satisfaction, negotiate pricing and contracts, and identify new business opportunities to support strategic growth objectives.
Requirements of the Account Manager
Bachelor s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of sales/account management experience in the automotive industry, preferably with JOEMs.
Deep understanding of Japanese business practices and cultural etiquette.
Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/CRM systems, and program management tools.

Responsibilities of the Account Manager
Serve as the main point of contact for JOEM customer accounts (e.g., Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Mazda).
Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with customer and company objectives.
Drive program development from RFQ through production and service phases.
Manage pricing, contracts, forecasts, and purchase orders in coordination with internal teams.
Support engineering changes, cost reductions, and quality improvements with cross-functional collaboration.
Ensure timely responses to customer inquiries, concerns, and commercial requests.
Build long-term relationships and understand key decision-makers within JOEMs.
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer direction to proactively position products and services.
