Lead Project Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an onsite Construction Engineer to work with the Project Team on Industrial projects, primarily Water/Wastewater Treatment plants, factories, production facilities, and data centers. The role involves planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction activities.

Responsibilities include:

Managing project engineering functions, personnel planning, work assignments, and disciplinary actions.

Ensuring compliance with company and contract requirements, supporting the construction schedule (Primavera P6).

Providing technical support, including construction planning, design interpretation, and resolving design conflicts.

Developing and implementing project engineering procedures, managing submittals, RFIs, material deliveries, and payment requests.

Representing the company in meetings with A/E, clients, and project management.

Coordinating with on-site departments to resolve issues and ensure quality and schedule adherence.

Overseeing pre-construction, design-build services, and business development.

Working with the Superintendent to control costs and budgets.

Preparing monthly cost, income, and cash flow reports.

Approving subcontractor requisitions and vendor invoices.

Assisting in settlement of change orders and claims.

Responding promptly to issues and proactively solving problems.

Organizing office and project files efficiently.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of construction engineering experience in heavy industrial projects.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.

Excellent communication and team management skills.

PE registration is preferred but not required.
