Job Title: Python Developer with SAS Migration Experience Location: 100% Remote Duration: Contract Max Rate: $40/hr on W2 Only(No C2C) Long Term Contract Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled Python Developer with strong experience in SAS and proven expertise in migrating legacy SAS codebases to Python.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in modernizing data processing and analytics pipelines by converting and optimizing SAS logic into scalable Python solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Analyze and understand existing SAS scripts, procedures, and workflows.

Translate SAS logic into equivalent and optimized Python code.

Develop and maintain robust, efficient, and scalable Python modules for data transformation, analytics, and reporting.

Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure migration accuracy and performance.

Validate and test migrated components to ensure functional parity with SAS implementations.

Optimize Python code for performance and maintainability.

Provide documentation and training for teams transitioning to the new Python-based system.

Must-Have Skills: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.

Strong experience with SAS programming (Base SAS, SAS Macros, PROC SQL). Proven track record of migrating SAS code to Python in enterprise environments.

Experience with pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, and other Python data processing libraries.

Good understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data modeling.

Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with Apache Airflow, Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS Glue.

Knowledge of data visualization tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.

Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
