Job Description

Job Purpose:

Maintaining the manufacturing operations, troubleshoot hardware and software failures, and work to continuously improve the systems, processes, and procedures in area of responsibility.

Main Responsibilities:

Role activities include, but are not limited to:

Follow safety rules, and comply with H&S, Environment, and Quality management systems

Proactively participate and promote 5S and safety programs

Troubleshooting of PLC’s, AC/DC Motors, Drives, Robots, and other Electrical components

Read / Troubleshoot Electrical prints and diagrams

Perform planned maintenance activities on the equipment during stoppages

Perform continuous inspection of the equipment to ensure correct operation and early diagnosis of problems

Take a full part in diagnosis of production / quality problems and then implementing corrective action plans

To cover for Production Technicians as and when required

Work to continuously improve the systems, processes, and procedures in area of responsibility.

Skills & Competences:

Technical Degree, preferred.

Previous maintenance experience that demonstrates a high level of troubleshooting skills, electrical and mechanical with an emphasis on electrical

Working knowledge of PLC (Siemens), and Drive programming and maintenance. Experience of robotics, extruders/injectors and other process machinery to include CNC is a plus.

Capability to work on own initiative, autonomously where required and to take responsibility.

Ability to work in a team environment, participating in continuous improvement activities using problem solving techniques.
