Job Title: Student Data Tech Specialist

Entry pay range $26.00-$30.00 per hour

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create and maintain staff SIS and IC accounts

Assist SIS and IC users in report generation and data acquisition using AD Hoc reports feature and other report writing tools. Assist in the writing of reports, interpreting and updating of student information data

Import and export data from SIS and IC databases for use with other District systems.

Assist with the maintenance of the SIS and IC databases and other District databases, both internal and hosted services.

Assist in coordinating system upgrades, new feature management, and evaluation, including risk assessment in IC

Maintain accurate transcripts for all students

Respond in a timely fashion to requests for records from past graduates

Coordinate and provide SIS and IC training, direction, and support to districts, programs, and administrative staff, oversee SIS and IC technical and other end user support

Establishment and enforcement of data entry standards

Assist schools in resolving scheduling issues

Assist with coordination of Calendar rollover and Grading Windows

Assist with scheduling the start of OLR in IC, turning it on, and updating

Provide assistance and guidance during the enrollment, be the primary point of contact

Manage educator handbook, data pipeline on SIS and IC

Provide accurate enrollment information for CDE reporting.

Work closely with teaching staff and administration

Ability to work professionally with counseling staff, office manager, staff and student data personnel to support the needed information

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree or four (4) years school office related job experience

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Strong computer skills including proficiency in Google.

Manipulating fields in bulk, leading zeros, different column types, etc.

Strong understanding of different types of data files, text, csv, XLS, etc.

Deep understanding of importing raw data into the various systems

High attention to accuracy and detail

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information and work positively with employees, and general public. Excellent telephone communication skills.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

?Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments.
