A vibrant LA-based family relocating to NYC are seeking a superlative ROTA nanny to provide care for their curious and energetic preschooler and 10 year old. This is a live-in ROTA position with an alternating schedule. Candidates will work in tandem with the family's current nanny to create a rotation that suits everyone’s needs (ranging from 2 to 4 weeks on/off). While on duty, accommodations and delicious meals are provided. To reiterate, no fly-in/fly-out is possible with this role and the family will not entertain candidates who may know New York well, but are no longer based there. No relocation of any description is being provided.
This family is active, health-conscious, and always up for an adventure. They value creativity, warmth, and flexibility, and they are seeking someone who can match their rhythm. The ideal candidate is as comfortable running through the park as they are setting gentle boundaries and keeping structure in place. They appreciate someone who is both go-with-the-flow and grounded, and who understands how to guide children with empathy and consistency. The ideal candidate will be passionate about childcare, dedicated to creating a nurturing environment, and able to work collaboratively in a team setting to support their family.
Candidates will live in the family’s guest studio in LA for the first 3-4 months and then the role will be permanently based out of New York from November/ December. Candidates will live-in only when on duty from there, so candidates must have their own accommodation on their off weeks. This opportunity is ONLY applicable to candidates already based in New York - the family’s expectation is that this candidate will be comfortable navigating the city with children, know all the parks and green spaces/ children’s activities etc.
The family travel domestically and internationally so candidates should be passport ready.
