C#/.Net Desktop Application Developer

A growing product engineering team is looking for an experienced C#/.NET Desktop Application Engineer to help develop a mission-critical Windows desktop platform used in hardware configuration, system startup, and connected software environments.

This is not a web or JavaScript application role, this is deep, Windows-based desktop development in C# using WPF, MVVM, and .NET frameworks.

What You'll Do · Design, build, and maintain WPF-based desktop applications in C#/.NET · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user and system requirements · Create and maintain architecture, design, and technical documentation · Implement robust unit and integration tests to ensure long-term stability · Troubleshoot bugs and customer-reported issues with urgency and ownership · Participate in continuous refactoring, code review, and process improvement Required Skills · 5+ years of professional experience in desktop application development · Expert-level knowledge of C#, .NET, and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) · Familiarity with design patterns (especially MVVM) and object-oriented principles · Experience building structured, maintainable, and testable software · Strong debugging, problem-solving, and documentation habits · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field Preferred Qualifications · Experience with SQL or other relational databases · Background in Agile/Scrum or SAFe frameworks · Familiarity with tools like Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence · Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small projects What We’re Not Looking For · Web developers focused on JavaScript, React, Angular, or front-end tooling · Full stack developers with a Java or backend cloud focus · Any contract, C2C, H1B, OPT, or CPT candidates · Applicants not authorized to work in the U.S.
