Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Messaging Engineer to join a dynamic IT team and be be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of Microsoft Exchange Online systems while also contributing to enterprise compliance and governance through Microsoft Purview.

This role is essential to enhancing their cloud-first strategy and supports the migration and modernization of legacy email and communication systems.

Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about optimizing enterprise-level communication platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities: •Architect, monitor, and fine-tune Microsoft Exchange Online environments.

•Manage a hybrid messaging infrastructure including Exchange Online and on-prem servers.

•Address and resolve delivery, security, and access issues across messaging platforms.

•Develop and run PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks.

•Transition legacy systems (public folders, shared mailboxes, distribution groups) to M365.

•Provide senior-level support to end-users for email and mobile device issues.

•Partner with Application Support teams to resolve integrated issues.

•Conduct patching and maintenance of messaging servers.

•Create and manage disaster recovery plans for email systems.

•Implement and support Microsoft Purview capabilities related to data classification and compliance.

Required Skills/Experience: •Strong experience with Microsoft Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange environments •Proficiency in PowerShell scripting •Experience supporting enterprise-level messaging systems in hybrid environments.

•Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.

•Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

•Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have: •Experience with Microsoft Purview for compliance and data governance •Previous work in large enterprise or tech-driven environments •Experience with enterprise email migrations •Knowledge of broader Microsoft 365 platform capabilities Education: •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred Microsoft Purview Microsoft Exchange Online PowerShell Messaging Engineer Compliance Cloud Migration
