NS2 Mission is looking for a driven and self-motivated Expert Software Developer to support a customer’s technology modernization effort in Chantilly, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and cloud technologies while contributing to a high-impact program in a collaborative environment. This role requires a technically skilled professional with a strong foundation in programming, web technologies, and API design—particularly RESTful services and data formats like JSON and XML.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with development tools, version control systems, and database management, along with excellent problem-solving abilities and a sharp eye for detail. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this position.

Required Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with Python, and proficiency in other programming languages commonly used for API development, such as JavaScript (Node.js) and Java

Strong understanding of RESTful services and API design principles

Demonstrated experience working with PKI certificates, API Gateway, and Amazon Kinesis or SQS

Practical experience with AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, and S3

Hands-on experience using Terraform for infrastructure orchestration

Excellent debugging and performance optimization skills

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working within an Agile development environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Position Clearance Requirement:

TS/SCI with an FSP
