Filling Operative (Days & Noons)

Location: Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent

Position: Permanent

Shift Pattern

Rotating 2-week system:

AM Shift: Mon - Thurs 6:00am - 2:00pm, Fri 6:00am - 1:00pm

PM Shift: Mon - Thurs 2:00pm - 10:00pm, Fri 1:00pm - 8:00pm

Salary

AM Shift: £14.30 per hour

PM Shift: £14.90 per hour

Average annual salary: ~£29,600

Role Overview

Join our manufacturing filling department where you will:

Operate automated and semi-automated filling machinery

Set up machines and complete product changeovers

Run container washing equipment and filling lines

Manufacture lubricants using Siemens and SAP process control systems - involving mixing and blending

Operate counterbalance forklift trucks (a valid FLT certificate is not essential; previous experience is sufficient)

Collect samples for the Quality Control (QC) team

Carry out daily housekeeping checks

Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and quality standards

What We're Looking For

Flexible and reliable, with willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime

Previous experience operating machinery is important, ideally within a production or manufacturing environment

Suitable for someone with production-type experience, especially where mixing and blending processes are involved

Counterbalance forklift truck experience (an in-date external licence is advantageous but not required)

Strong team player with excellent communication skills

Proven, stable employment history (must be clearly detailed on your CV)
