Weâ re looking for a Project Manager in the construction and energy infrastructure sector.
Our client is a global leader in delivering large-scale temporary and permanent power, HVAC, and utility solutions to construction sites, industrial facilities, and critical infrastructure projects. Their work supports essential operations and drives growth across multiple industries. This role is crucial for managing complex site installations involving temporary power systems, heating, and cooling equipment across North America.
Project Manager responsibilities:
•Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, ensuring consistent execution across all active projects
•Manage multiple complex initiatives using formal project management methodologies and internal tools
•Coordinate with engineering, operations, and technical support teams to prepare project scopes, layouts, and proposals
•Oversee the full project lifecycle of projects, including on-site management as needed (40% travel)
•Develop and lead site planning efforts including installation, commissioning, operations, and decommissioning
•Act as primary liaison with clients, contractors, engineers, vendors, and internal departments
•Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership
•Coach junior project managers, instilling best practices and reinforcing use of systems and templates
•Assess team performance in the field and provide feedback to support learning and development
•Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety leadership
•Travel approximately 40% across diverse job sites and industries throughout the U.S. and Canada
The successful candidate has:
•A bachelorâ s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, construction management, or a related field
• Hands-on project management experience in sectors such as utilities, industrial facilities, or large-scale construction
•Certification in project management
•Familiarity with HVAC systems, electrical power generation, or distribution is considered an asset
•Experience working with integrated project delivery models, such as EPC or EPCM
•Proven safety mindset and ability to lead teams in high-risk environments
•Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, especially when managing diverse stakeholders
•Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment on project goals and timelines
•Comfort interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and regulatory requirements
•Willingness to work variable hours and in demanding environments as project needs require
•Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting
