Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventive and non-scheduled maintenance on facility equipment and buildings. This role includes troubleshooting electrical and control systems, supporting equipment installations, and ensuring facility systems run efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical skillset and have experience in a manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform non-scheduled and preventive maintenance of all facility equipment and buildings.
Direct and perform installation or revision of plant and facility equipment with assistance from lower-level mechanics or contractors.
Troubleshoot electrical and electronic controls of plant equipment (PLC, HMI, PC systems).
Fabricate equipment and fixtures based on technical drawings or conceptual designs.
Utilize CMMS software to record maintenance activities and parts usage.
Maintain and repair electrical, piping, and fluid pumping systems.
Demonstrate proficiency in other maintenance functions (e.g., welding, HVAC, control circuits, fabrication).
Use basic maintenance testing and measuring equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents.
Required Skills:
5 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
Experience with forklifts and manufacturing environments.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to work off-hours or respond to emergency work situations.
Experience using CMMS software.
Knowledge of maintenance practices in electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
Preferred Skills:
Formal training in technical or mechanical fields.
Welding, HVAC, and fabrication skills.
Understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems.
Certifications:
