We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team in Gahanna, United States. As the primary point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in facilitating exceptional healthcare delivery through superior customer service, administrative coordination, and patient care support.
Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming and professional environment
Manage patient scheduling, registration, and check-in/check-out processes
Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other medical offices to ensure seamless patient care
Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for medical services
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the Electronic Medical Record system
Process patient information while ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
Organize and maintain treatment areas, reception, and storage spaces
Handle multiple phone lines and respond to patient inquiries professionally
Facilitate smooth daily clinic operations through effective communication with staff and patients
Manage administrative tasks including filing, scanning, and updating patient informationQualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 1 year medical office receptionist experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Medical Record systems
Demonstrated knowledge of medical insurance verification and authorization processes
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities
Experience with scheduling software and healthcare management systems
Proven multi-tasking and organizational skills
Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to maintain composure in fast-paced environments
Physical capability to perform periodic lifting, pushing, and pulling
Ability to alternate between sitting and standing for extended periods
Part-time
