As a Software Engineer, you’ll harness the latest AI/ML technologies and other innovations to create scalable and robust solutions. You’ll be responsible for developing isolated testing strategies our engineering teams employ as we shift left and create efficient workflows that ensure our products meet the highest of quality standards. The ideal candidate is self-driven, able to lead projects from conception through implementation, requiring a blend of software engineering expertise, quality engineering leadership, and project management skills. Architect test automation frameworks for web apps, native apps and APIs Analyze requirements, systems, workflows and recommend solutions Design, develop services and APIs for use in automation frameworks Implement integration testing solutions for backend, frontend, services and platforms Innovate and build internal tools and web applications servicing the quality engineering organization.
5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
5+ years of software automation & validation experience
Proven experience architecting test automation frameworks using Jest, Playwright and/or Selenium
Deep understanding of automated software testing methodologies and lifecycle, including integration testing, component mocking, and dependency injection
Advanced-level programming expertise in Node.js and TypeScript
Experience consuming and developing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
Experience programming with Java and Python
Experience with machine learning, natural language processing and integrating AI solutions with automation frameworks.
Familiarity with database design and optimization
Experience building and optimizing backend APIs and frontend interfaces
Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
