Packaging Engineer Injection Molding

Job Description

· Design expendable and returnable packaging based on quality of part, ergonomics, cost, lean manufacturing, systems and warehouse requirements.

· Estimate costs for new products quickly and accurately using a cost spreadsheet, often with limited product definition.

· Work with suppliers to design expendable and returnable packaging to meet both internal and external customer requirements.

· Conduct and/or oversee packaging test trials.

· CES methodology and thinking with an emphasis on True North

· Understands and supports the values of the Triple Bottom Line (TBL)

· Exhibit the principles of 7 Habits and Emotional Intelligence

· Develops high trust relationships within all levels of the organization

· Responsible for relations with the communities being served by the organization and the public

· Represents the organization as appropriate with community organizations, government officials, and other constituencies

· Initiatives through their department’s Mission and VSA A3s

· Support the CES Management System within their Gemba

· Understand their role utilizing CES Management System and Tools

Abilities

· Analytical and detail oriented. Effective time management skills; able to manage multiple responsibilities with varying deadlines.

· Proficient use of personal computers and computer operation within a network environment.

· Ability to work autonomously or in a team,

· Capable of managing stressful situations.

· Ability to lead cross-functional teams and to develop and deliver shared objectives.

· CES Green Flow Cell Certification

· Working knowledge of plastic molding processes.

· Familiarity with QAD and MQ1Company Description
