Job Title: Application Architect

Job Location: Columbus, OH (On-Site)

Pay Range: $66/hr-$78/hr

Contract Length: 3 Months (Contract-to-hire)

Summary:

The Application Architect provides the technical vision and direction within an application domain.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop, maintain, and communicate the application architecture and application-level roadmap.

- Design, document, develop, and govern frameworks/platforms for consumption by the larger technical delivery organization.

- Be accountable for the creation and evolution of the overall application architecture strategy, its alignment with the enterprise target state architecture, and its usage patterns within the development community.

- Communicate and govern use of architectural trends and best practices within the application domain.

- Develop, maintain, and communicate standards around design leadership, documentation, and stakeholder communication in line with the organization's federated architect program.

- Conduct product/solution evaluations for the architectural domain.

- Thoroughly understand the application flows and processes to assist the Sr. SDM.

- Mentor technical delivery staff.

- Lead individuals effectively and resolve conflicts.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience with ATM and Branch Systems technology, including batch and backend integrations.

- Applies critical thought during collaborations while reviewing documents.

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

- 5+ years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Able to communicate up, down, and laterally between business and IT.

- Ability to drive and adhere to strict documentation standards.

- Ability to mediate between parties and navigate through high-stress situations.

- Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and effectively prioritize them.

- Willingness and drive to learn and understand detailed software solutions.

- High level of professionalism and confidence with the ability to build credibility with leadership, team members, and business partners, and establish effective working relationships.

- Ability to problem-solve, plan, scope, and provide estimates for work effort, producing quality deliverables on time and on budget.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels and explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of Archimate language to document architectural diagrams in Archi.

Experience working in a consumer-centric company and with teams of technical professionals in a cross-functional environment.

Ability to embrace change, constructively negotiate constraints, and effectively leverage time and resources to create exceptional outcomes.

Consistently model and inspire high levels of professional demeanor and integrity.

Hands-on experience in Agile Architecture delivery practices, tools, and execution.

Proven ability to define and deliver solutions against strategic IT roadmaps with in-depth understanding of business requirements.

Experience with security, performance, availability, and environment configuration.

Experience in consumer/retail and commercial/business banking -- branch and digital (online/direct) banking.

Experience with banking data models and financial services (fintech) systems.

Ability to redirect discussions when necessary to achieve a particular outcome.
