Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager with strong leadership and technical skills to lead our enterprise application team through complex project delivery, strategic initiatives, and ongoing support operations. This role will be critical in balancing competing priorities across multiple work streams while ensuring high-quality delivery and team effectiveness in our fast-paced enterprise software environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise application projects from inception to deployment, managing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across concurrent projects and initiatives.
Serve as Scrum Master for multiple enterprise application teams, facilitating all sprint ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews while maintaining and optimizing team velocity through effective agile coaching and continuous improvement methodologies.
Develop and manage comprehensive work breakdown structures (WBS) for complex multi-workstream initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams including developers, architects, business analysts, QA engineers, and infrastructure teams to achieve delivery objectives.
Establish and maintain prioritization frameworks across projects, initiatives, and support work, partnering with product owners and stakeholders to balance feature development against technical debt and support requirements while managing competing demands between new project delivery and BAU (business as usual) support activities.
Oversee application support operations and establish service level agreements (SLAs), managing incident response processes and coordinating with support teams during critical issues.
Provide comprehensive status updates and delivery forecasts to executive leadership, proactively communicating risks, dependencies, and blockers while conducting regular prioritization sessions with stakeholders to ensure alignment on delivery focus and strategic initiatives.
Partner with business teams to identify gaps, optimize delivery processes, and recommend scalable solutions aligning with enterprise architecture and business objectives.
Develop comprehensive documentation of delivery processes, administrative procedures, and workflows, feeding into training and change management initiatives.
Coordinate with enterprise architecture teams and other delivery managers across the application portfolio to ensure strategic alignment and dependency management.
Demonstrate exceptional time management and stakeholder-centric approach in a dynamic, fast-paced enterprise environment while exhibiting strong risk management practices and maintaining risk registers with appropriate escalation of high-impact issues to leadership.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a Delivery Manager or similar role supporting enterprise application delivery with 5+ years in complex software environments.
Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and familiarity with enterprise application technologies and integration platforms.
Strong technical expertise in agile methodologies, work breakdown structure development, and project management methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate diverse, cross-functional teams and make difficult prioritization decisions under competing demands.
Proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and release management processes.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to effectively interact with technical teams and business stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Solid understanding of enterprise architecture principles, governance frameworks, and service management practices.
