Labor Category: Systems Engineer Position Title: Systems Engineer Position Level: Level 1 - Subject Matter Expert Salary: Up to $230,000.00 per year Core Hours: 9am to 4pm Location: Chantilly VA Description: Position Requires a Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance with a Polygraph.

The Candidate shall determine how requirements are satisfied.

The Candidate shall ensure that all developed applications and modifications to existing Customer applications operate in compliance with applicable documents.

Planned activities shall be coordinated with all stakeholders and approved by the Customer.

The Candidate shall also conduct Technical CI Risk Assessments of devices and systems by following the Customer's current risk analysis process.

In making their requirements determination, the Candidate shall consider the following: a.

Use existing enterprise services rather than building single-purpose solutions; any deviations require prior approval via the Customer-approved waiver process.

b.

Catalog, manage and protect application data using enterprise services.

c.

Fully describe and document mission solution architecture and interfaces, with any deviation requiring prior approval via the Customer-approved waiver process.

d.

Ensure each new application or system enhancement meets agreed upon performance SLAs for system up-time, concurrent users, and system recovery.

e.

Monitor each application to provide status awareness and include a resolution plan for the application in the event of its failure.

f.

Comply with the Customer's Risk Management (i.e., cyber security) Framework to ensure that the program addresses and mitigates vulnerabilities and risks identified throughout the lifecycle of the project.

g.

Comply with the Customer's CI Risk Assessment process to conduct risk analysis of devices, transport systems and backend systems, and draft risk assessment reports documenting risks associated with the defined categories.

The Candidate team shall: a.

Provide operations and maintenance of applications in the cloud infrastructure.

b.

Implement changes to current applications and data pipelines based on Customer requirements.

c.

Support Customer's representatives in cloud environment purchase, engineering, and architecture related activities as applicable to applications.

d.

Provide management support to the Customer Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process.

e.

Continuously evaluate program progress and evaluate incoming information to ensure the program is progressing on schedule.

f.

Assist the Customer's product owner with the assessment of program requirements.

g.

Assist the Customer's product owner with mitigating or avoiding risks.

h.

Assist the Customer's product owner in alleviating program issues.

i.

Coordinate stakeholder engagements, such as user requirements sessions and training.

j.

Prepare meeting agendas and meeting minutes.

k.

Track work requirements and action items to meet program deadlines.

l.

Support tasks requiring collecting, compiling, evaluating, and publishing information and statistical data included in documents, records, forms, reports, plans, policies, and regulations.

m.

Interface with stakeholders to ensure user stories are recorded.

n.

Deliver development requirements as requested by the Customer.

o.

Use a Customer-approved tracking system for issues and problems.

p.

Provide applications development and programming support to develop software to implement system-level requirements.

q.

Implement changes to the current applications based on changing partner requirements, legislation, and policy.

r.

Maintain and enhance current system software.

s.

Implement new functionality to system software.

t.

Conduct functionality testing for existing applications.

Develop applications and modifications to existing Customer applications in compliance with the Customer's architectural and Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) process.

w.

The Candidate shall work in cohort and cohesively with other Candidate teams to complete requirements.

x.

Conduct Technical CI Risk Assessments by synthesizing complex devices and systems into their component parts; analyze and use information to gain understanding of each component to develop risk findings based on factual findings and logical assumptions.

y.

Write Technical CI Risk Assessments to document the risk findings developed from the risk analysis of devices and systems.

Demonstrated experience with LAN and WAN deployments.

Demonstrated experience with Enterprise Backup Solutions such as Microsoft DPM, and ArcServe Backup Suite.

Demonstrated experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN), including design, provisioning, capacity planning, and maintenance.

Experience with Hyper-V virtual machines.

Demonstrated experience with network design (LAN & WAN), including backup systems and disaster recovery architectures (DR). Demonstrated experience evaluating hardware and software products against customer requirements for technical evaluation and potential procurement.

Demonstrated experience designing, engineering, implementing, and maintaining COTS and GOTS applications.

Demonstrated experience with Network Monitoring Appliances.

Demonstrated experience assisting with automation of administrative tasks through scripting.

Experience with NetApp (configuration, use, etc.) Experience with Nutanix (configuration, use, etc.) Optional Requirements: Demonstrated experience performing complex problem management research and issue resolution with the Customers infrastructure.

Demonstrated experience with IT system security.

Demonstrated experience with Shell scripting Demonstrated experience with SQL Server experience and familiarity with Oracle 10g/11g, and MySQL.

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 10, 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2, 2016.

Demonstrated experience with using System Center.

Demonstrated experience with Storage systems, including Net App, and HP.

Demonstrated experience with VMware ESX.

Demonstrated experience with the various types of forensic software.

Demonstrated experience with HP Servers and HP Blade Chassis.

Demonstrated experience providing recommendations in technical standards, security standards, and operational assurance.

Demonstrated experience providing recommendations to architecture and design reviews.

Demonstrated experience interfacing with vendors and third party producers.

Demonstrated experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting customized forensic workstations.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training.
